We are a small and enthusiastic tech-for-good startup team with an immediate requirement for a full stack software engineer.
Our society faces a rapidly ageing population and the current paper-based systems for managing elderly care are not working effectively. Our vision is to create a coherent system that supports the highest quality care, providing greater accountability and a better quality of life for older people in our communities.
Research, design, develop, test, implement and maintain software systems
Manage individual project deadlines and support team tasks and goals.
BSc degree in a relevant Computer Science subject or similar technical or practical level of experience.
Demonstrable software development experience in a general purpose programming language.
Experience with three or more of the following areas:
Developing for security
Developing for data minimisation
Developing for reliability
Ability to respond to changing roadmap requirements to support startup development.
Good level of verbal and written communication skills in English.
Masters degree level educated or above, or similar technical or practical level of experience.
Demonstrable software development experience of Node.js and MongoDB.
Experience working with the whole web stack.
Understanding and appreciation of the needs of older people when using technology.
User centred design
Hours will typically be 40 hours per week.
Flexibility to support out-of-hours support.
Salary negotiable based on experience.
Based in central London. Role will require some travel.
